Powder Coat Finish Our finish is an electrically charged finish that is baked on to give a durable hard finish. Powder Coat finish available in Black or Rust color with other colors available by special order. The rust color that we use is not actual rust but powder coating to simulate rust. Those iron furniture companies that use actual rust are misleading you concerning the stability of their finish. Just sealing the rust under a clear coat finish does not stabilize the rust. Any one that deals with steel will tell you that rust will continue to eat away at the metal causing flaking. This will expose your bedding, or anything else that comes in contact with it, to rust stains and snagging of material or your skin. Years ago when we were in the wholesale only end of the business we did the real rust finish because the cost difference is about a $150 per bed. We now however only sell finished goods directly to the end consumer and we want to deliver the best possible product that will be totally trouble free. The only way to keep people happy for as long as they own the product is to deliver the best product on the market for durability and finish.
